Chapter 11: Conflict Why are conflicts in close relationships inevitable? Conflicts in close relationships are inevitable because you guys may so close in relation or so close in general that it may cause conflict. We tend to get tired of certain people’s ways but we value our relationship so much that we may endure conflict at one point in the relationship but it does not take away the value of the relationship and we choose to be okay with certain things. What are conflict styles you use most? Why? Use least why? Conflict styles that I use most would be avoidance, and the least would be comepeting. Sometimes I tend to choose my battles or sometimes I just feel that certain conflict is not worth my time. I avoid conflicts because I would say I’m not as confrontational as most people.
